“Optimized for Claude Code” here isn’t marketing fluff — it means PackyAPI has put noticeable effort into Claude Code-related integration docs, FAQs, and community discussion. On the domestic Claude Code setup process (setting ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL and ANTHROPIC_API_KEY) and integration with coding-assistant tools like Cursor/Continue, PackyAPI’s community resources are relatively solid.

If this is your first time setting up a domestic Claude Code relay, PackyAPI’s documentation usually saves you some troubleshooting time.

Side-by-side comparison: PackyAPI’s pricing sits in the mid-price range — not the cheapest, but not expensive either. If your monthly Claude spend exceeds ¥500, it’s worth comparing against YunWu’s low-price strategy or 147api’s discount pricing; if your monthly spend is under ¥200, the price difference is negligible, and PackyAPI’s community support carries more value.

Community support: an underrated dimension

Many developers picking a relay only look at price and model coverage, overlooking a practical dimension: can you actually get help when you need it.

PackyAPI’s operator is active in the Chinese Claude developer community (WeChat groups, Discord, etc.), which means:

• Somewhere to turn when you hit an integration issue, instead of waiting on a support ticket
• Community announcements when model versions update, instead of having to watch Anthropic’s site yourself
• Other users’ troubleshooting notes can cut down your own trial-and-error

This level of community activity isn’t standard among comparable relays, and it’s especially valuable for less experienced developers.

Who PackyAPI fits

Strongly recommended for:

• Primary Claude Code users, writing code and doing code review with Claude day-to-day
• First-time setup of a domestic Claude relay, needing documentation and community support to flatten the learning curve
• Individual developers with moderate monthly call volume (¥50-300 range), for whom extensive price comparison isn’t worth the time

Consider other options if:
